April 16, 2013 Annette Daily Inspiration

Just got a text message from my brother, and it said that tomorrow is the first day to cancer free….and that’s a great day.  Wow, thanks Dave.  What a great way to look at it.  I had been getting a little nervous, will I be sick, tired, all that good stuff. Now I will look at it differently.  Today….a friend and I went to town and she got her hair cut and I got mine washed and blow dried and flatironed… was nice, one last hurah with my hair.  After chemo tomorrow we are stopping on the way home and I am getting it all shaved off…..I don’t want to see it fall out, that would be a little upsetting, and messy.  I got a wig a couple of weeks ago, and the other day I went to crunch up the box and saw the name of the wig style on the side of the it’s called “petite Annette”… and I never saw that when we bought it.   So, it was ment to be, I guess.

Before chemo is my doctor appointment.  I find out about the bone marrow biopsy…..a little nervous about that.  If it’s in the bone then it’s stage 4.  Which is still curable and still 6 chemo treatments…..but I would rather it not be.   One last picture of me and my hair…..IMG_0477

I will post a picture of me and my wig tomorrow….and hey, it’s super straight….no frizzies to flat iron away.

My verse for today is Luke 8:50….I like it in the NIV best, but King James is good too “But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only and she shall be made whole.”

Annette, I like your brothers thoughts. You are a beautiful woman, Your true beauty comes from your heart. That will not change because of chemo.
You and Steve will be in my prayers.

Isaiah 40:28-31 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

We are keeping all of you in our prayers. Wow! Shaving your head. That was brave, but I understand why. The name of the wig is great! Sending love your way.

Annette……….God is in control…….it’s natural to be nervous…….remember to eat, even if you dont want to, and…….it’s only hair! Love to you dear old friend!

Love your smile in this photo (nothing to do with hair) and agree with your brother’s thoughts. Yes, the wig was yours from the beginning. Praying for you, Annette!
